Fences are available in many styles and can be constructed from a number of different materials. An Anchor representative will help you determine what type of fence would best suit your particular situation based on your yard, functional needs, neighborhood requirements and budget.
At Anchor Home Services, we don’t go to the local home improvement store to purchase the material for your fence. We purchase our materials from well-known and reputable fence suppliers such as Jamieson Manufacturing Company, Merchants Metals, Master Halco, and PolyVinyl Creations. By buying from reputable suppliers, we know that we are providing our customers with high-quality products that will give them years of dependable service.
Pool Code
At Anchor Home Services, we keep up to date with current pool codes. We will help you not only choose the right style of fence to suit your home and pool, but also one that will meet code and even install child alarms on your doors for your safety and protection.
Ornamental Fences
Ornamental fencing is pre-fabricated steel or aluminum fencing that looks like wrought iron without the high cost and constant maintenance of wrought iron. Ornamental fencing comes in many different styles, heights, colors and functions (from residential to high security) and Anchor has installed many different brands and styles including: Jerith®, Specrail®, Forster®, Vintage Square Premium®, and OnGuard Fence Systems®. In addition to our experience with many fence types Anchor Home Services proudly features the Ameristar® line of ornamental fences. Ameristar® has a fence for any application and Anchor has extensive experience with many different lines of fencing Ameristar® offers, and has completed manufacturers training classes in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the home of Ameristar®. The most widely used lines are Montage® (profusion-welded galvanized steel with a durable E-Coat finish) and Echelon® (Aluminum).
PVC (Vinyl) Fences
This type of fence has evolved from just a few plain styles a decade ago to the abundance of styles available today. White is the original and least expensive color, but tan, gray, cream and several shades of brown are now available. Mixing and matching rail and panel colors is becoming very popular and is an attractive way to enhance your yard. Even dark colors like green and black are available for certain applications.
PVC fencing is available in almost any style that a wood fence can be constructed. Like ornamental fencing, PVC is more expensive than wood, but is maintenance-free and generally comes with a warranty anywhere from 20 years to lifetime. Anchor has extensive experience with Bufftech®, Country Estate®, and PolyVinyl Creations® PVC fencing.
Wood Fences
Wood, usually pressure-treated Southern Pine, is still the most popular fence material. Styles include split-rail and 2 or 3-rail (such as "horse fencing"), spaced picket, privacy, board-on-board and shadow-box. Heights are generally 4 feet and 6 feet tall. Various picket tops are available including dog-ear, gothic/french-gothic, pointed or scalloped; fence tops can also be finished with trim or lattice. Wood fences are generally moderately priced, but do require regular maintenance such as staining or sealing, and they can warp and split. Cedar is also available if desired, but costs considerably more than pine.
Chain Link Fences
Generally the lowest cost type of fencing, it is either galvanized or PVC-coated, and its emphasis is more on utility than esthetics. Available in many heights, it installs quickly and is very durable. Increasingly, however, chain-link is not permitted in subdivisions; check with your architectural committee to see if this style is even allowed.
